Fortunately, K-State Olathe understands that your mental health is important, so we will do everything in our power to encourage you during this time.

Dan Richardson, K-State Olathe's first dean and CEO, accepted the Mayor Michael Copeland Accessible Community Award on behalf of his late wife, Kathy Richardson. Kathy served on the board for many years and was a cherished member of the group. The award recognizes her excellence in serving and advocating for people with disabilities and senior citizens, and she was involved in all of the boards many programs. When the K-State Olathe was built, Kathy ensured that the building met and exceeded Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. As a result, the Olathe campus received the first award for accessibility given out by the board and the City of Olathe.
