One Health brings collaboration, innovation and connection

Each year, a joint collaboration between Kansas State University Olathe, BioNexus KC, KU Edwards Campus and University of Kansas Medical Center provides an opportunity for students to present posters on the topic at hand and to compete for cash scholarships while learning more about the world.

This year's KC One Health Day topic was Food as Medicine.

Industry partner supports strategic goals

Compass Minerals recently donated laboratory equipment valued at over $300,000. We received over 70 items to help outfit our new Advanced Manufacturing and Bulk Solids Technology Center and help other researchers at K-State Olathe. This industrial equipment directly aligns with our strategic plan, including the programming and courses for advanced manufacturing education, research and training. Collaborations like this between industry and academia strengthen our community bonds, especially within the Greater Kansas City area.
