The center was designed with one of K-State Olathe’s strategic imperatives in mind, which is to deliver an unmatched and impactful student experience as part of the university's Next-Gen Strategic Plan.
Eleni Pliakoni, Ph.D., named Remarkable Woman of Kansas City
Eleni Pliakoni, Ph.D., has been named Greater Kansas City’s 2024 Remarkable Woman by Fox4 KC. Each year, Fox4 KC goes on a search to find the most remarkable woman in the Kansas City region. The four finalists from the search included women who are making a difference in their local communities and in the region. With her combined passion for teaching and providing the world with healthy foods, Pliakoni was the winner of this year’s search.

New this fall, the Data Analytics and Insights in Animal Health graduate certificate is designed to provide professionals with the skills and tools they need to approach consumer problems, navigate product challenges and develop new solutions in an interdisciplinary manner through the power of data.

The 15-credit hour Data Analytics and Insights in Animal Health Graduate Certificate is based on industry input and exclusively tailored to the animal health industry. | Register
Urban Food Systems, Noon on June 17 — Use a deep knowledge of agriculture and food systems to positively influence communities by increasing the availability and quality of food. | Register

This month, we were honored to connect with so many incredible people at the 2nd Annual JR MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) and Black Student Union Summit.
Our student services team hosted a student appreciation night that offered our students and employees a chance to come enjoy an evening of food, games and networking. We also hosted tours of our new student success center.
