Scientific review pathway approved by industry partner

The Association of American Feed Control Officials, or AAFCO, has approved a proposal from K-State Olathe to provide the scientific review for a new animal food ingredient submission pathway.
 
“We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with AAFCO in designing processes that accelerate the approval of animal food ingredients," said Haley Larson, Ph.D., teaching assistant professor of animal health who will lead the review efforts at K-State Olathe. "This process will support industry timelines by allowing ingredients to be incorporated into market in a time efficient manner, while maintaining rigorous safety evaluation through review by top scientific expertise.”
